CONTROVERSIAL DUI
/ DWI DEFENDERS NETWORK REPRESENTED NATIONALLY
Atlanta, GA - June 14,
1996 - A controversial group of DUI/DWI attorneys called the Drinking
Drivers Defense Network (DDDN), headquarterd in Atlanta now
has representation nationally, in 24 states.
Georgia has some
of the toughest DUI/DWI laws in America, says DDDN founder
William C. Head. Head is also co-author of the book 101 Ways
to Avoid a Drunk Driving Conviction, a book that has been
banned in many book stores. But, as Head states, If more people
were to read this book, there would be fewer people drinking and
driving and lives would actually be saved.
Attorneys are invited
by Head to be member of this knowledgeable group, all of whom have
a large clientele list and a high success rate in defending citizens
arrested for a DUI/DWI, says Head. Head launched the group a year
ago. All of our members are hand selected and handle the most DUI/DWI
cases successfully, nationally, he says.
We are not in favor
of people drinking and driving, says Head . In fact
the majority of my clients are first time offenders, who will not
offend or drink and drive again and who are in need of aggressive
defense to save their jobs, marriages and reputations, he
says.
Tougher DUI/DWI laws,
are bringing in the average law-abiding citizen, whose life could
be ruined by a DUI/DWI conviction, he says. We are simply
giving them their constitutional right to a fair and legal trial,
says Head.
DDDN is comprised of
experienced criminal defense attorneys, who have developed an expertise
in fighting drunk driving cases across America. This is the
only crime of degree on the books, where it is legal to drink and
drive a little, and most people simply dont know what that
legal limit is. says Head.
And what most people
dont know is that a drunk driving conviction stays with you
for life as a criminal conviction. Unlike other traffic
violations this conviction is not expunged from your driving record.
Once thought impossible
to beat, a DUI/DWI accusation no longer carries a virtual certainty
of conviction, says Head . We are joining forces to stop the
steamroller legislation that exists in most states, he says.
The present witch
hunt for DUI/DWI offenders causes clients with cases that
can be won or expunged, to plead guilty to a DUI/DWI.
